Eligible course or programme:

Students can apply for Doctoral degree in AI-based material characterization for waste recycling.

Students must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible:

  • Candidates can be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or foreign students.
  • Successful completion of a Masters by Research degree with a dissertation, showing the capacity to conduct PhD-level research; or
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree, as well as any subsequent honors degrees that are graded either 1st class or 2nd class (upper division) and that, includes either a thesis or dissertation that shows the ability to conduct research at the Doctoral level; or
  • A current Masters by Research student at Federation University Australia who has the necessary research skills to demonstrate their ability to complete a PhD, as determined by a formal Confirmation of Candidature process; or
  • Honors equivalence، for candidates who have earned a Master’s degree through coursework or who have the necessary professional experience.

Federation University will give each scholarship winner 29,140 Dollars per year in order to help students afford their tuition.

How to apply for these mechatronics PhD scholarships?

To apply for admission, students need to submit a form.  Following that, they need to submit both their HDR application form and the Dasma Environmental Scholarship application form.

Admission Requirements:

  • Intended project summary of 250 words with title.
  • Academic records, including diplomas and transcripts, for all previous tertiary studies, including undergraduate and graduate work study.
  • A copy of the abstract from your master’s and honors thesis in Australia, along with documentation of any professional research experience you have had outside of school and of any relevant knowledge or skills you have.
  • IELTS/TOEFL certification for the English language proficiency test.
  • Personal statement of study purpose (for candidates from outside Australia) – read more details below.
  • A copy of the following:
    Either the birth certificate or passport(must be provided by all Australian residents.
    The visa and passport (must be provided by permanent residents).
    The passport (must be provided by foreign students).
  • Students must also provide copies of the contractual agreement either with an outside sponsor or institution (if applicable).

Supporting or additional documents:

Applicants are required to submit their research proposal, a copy of their passport, as well as official academic transcripts from every prior institution they have attended.

Language Requirements:

In order to demonstrate English language proficiency (ELP), candidates from non-English-speaking nations must have a minimum score in one of the official English language proficiency tests within the previous two years.
