  • Candidates should be before the beginning of their institution education or fully enrolled in the 1st, 2nd or maximum 3rd semester at a state-recognized institution (in Germany or abroad) or application for a postgraduate (Master’s) degree shortly before / after receiving a Bachelor’s degree. Average grades are equivalent to a German GPA of at least 2.0.
  • applicants who can demonstrate having a modest net income. The applicants’ combined family income does not surpass the official estimate of the average income for their native nation. All household members’ incomes and the family’s various sources of income, such as those from jobs, businesses, property investment, child benefits, as well as pensions, will be taken into consideration.
  • Activities outside of the classroom Experience: Candidates who have worked or volunteered in the nonprofit sector.

  • 1 or 2 letters of reference (from professors, schoolteachers, employers, etc.).
  • The net household income proof.

Note: Translations and uncertified copies are acceptable for SBW Berlin Scholarship application. The candidate will need certified copies of some of those documents throughout the verification procedure if they pass the selection procedure.
