About Me

Biographical Profile: Provide a biographical profile of no more than 100 words that highlights your leadership achievements and long-term goals. This field is necessary. You must write your biographical profile in 3rd person, with your home nation at the conclusion. Check out the biographies of the chosen Scholars for reference.

You need to know that the maximum limit is 2 pages.

Education

Give information about your degree-granting postsecondary institutions in this section. Don’t include programmes for short-term study, certificate courses, or study abroad; your CV might cover them.

Add Institution: In the Institution field, type the name of your university in English or, in certain circumstances, the local tongue to find it. Use double quotation marks around the official complete school name (for example, “University of X”) to filter results. You might need to click “Continued” at the bottom of the list if there are many results. After finding your school in the list, click the name of the institution to enter it in the Institution form. If no search results for your school appear, use the institution’s official name then press the key “Enter”.

For each institution, you must provide a copy of your transcripts from high school and college (see the section below on transcripts). Candidates must meet all prerequisites for an undergraduate degree before August 1, 2024, in order to qualify for the current Schwarzman Scholars application cycle.

Grade Point Average: The majority of universities offer a grade point average (GPA) or other numerical measure of academic performance. Exactly as it appears on your transcript, enter your cumulative GPA (or equivalent numerical score) if your college utilizes a numerical system. If your school has a numerical grading scale, you MUST correctly describe it in this box. If you are reporting a grade point average in the US format, it should be the cumulative average over your entire course of study and not just your major’s grade point average. In the “Degree Designation” field, enter “First Class Honours” if your institution doesn’t use a numerical system; otherwise, enter zero and the text description that appears on your transcript.

Note for Schwarzman Scholarship

Academic brilliance is a key component of Schwarzman Scholars, thus the selection committee would welcome any content or information you can offer to aid in assessing your educational background. In the application’s Additional Information field, you can quickly describe any additional context or explanation regarding your academic programme.

Transcripts: You must scan and submit a copy of each transcript from a post-secondary institution at which you received a degree. Your entire name, the name of the institution that you attended, and the degree you received, together with the awarding date, must all appear on your transcript. We do not need a transcript from your study abroad experience if the credits were earned as part of your degree program and are shown on your degree transcript. If not, upload both your degree transcript and the transcript from your study abroad experience. You are in charge of making sure that your uploaded transcript(s) reflect all completed semesters of study. Present your most recent transcript at the time of application submission if you are a currently enrolled candidate who is working toward fulfilling degree requirements.

You must submit the original transcript along with an exact translation of any transcripts that aren’t in English. We accept official, verified translations into English that have been issued by the original institution (such as the university registrar’s office)or by certified and professional translation services. The English translations need to be precise and comprehensive in order to be considered by the selection committee. However, we don’t demand paid translations from a professional translation service. Consult the American Translators Association (www.atanet.org) or any reputable translation agency like University Language Services (www.universitylanguage.com) for information on experienced translators in your region.

Make sure the selection committee can access the transcript file and that it isn’t password-protected. A printed copy of your final transcript(s) will be needed before the Schwarzman program begins for candidates who are offered and accept admission.

Language Skills

List up to three other languages (excluding your mother tongue) and your level of ability in each. List the 3 languages you believe to be your strongest if you are fluent in more than 3.

If English is not your first language, you must submit your official English proficiency test results along with your Schwarzman Scholars application. This criterion is not for applicants who have completed at least two years of undergraduate or graduate study in an English-language program. You will need to declare whether you are an English native speaker, have studied the language for at least two years in an English-speaking post-secondary institution, or have taken an English language competency exam.

Leadership Roles

Provide the Schwarzman Scholarship selection committee with a maximum of five leadership positions that demonstrate your track record of success.

Awards and Recognition

Highlight up to five accomplishments that stand out in your demonstrated leadership trajectory. Examples include awards, scholarships, recognitions, and publications.

Professional Experience

List up to two years of full-time employment. Complete this form is not mandatory if you are a student and do not have a full-time job lined up after graduation.

Essays

Each candidate must submit 2 essays and 2 short answer replies. A Leadership Essay (750 words) and a Statement of Purpose (500 words) are the 2 mandatory essays.

You can submit essays as Word or PDF documents. Each of the 2 short answer replies mustn’t exceed 100 words.

Schwarzman Scholarship Recommendations

Enter the names, professional titles, as well as contact information of 3 recommenders.
You can still submit your Schwarzman Scholars application even before receiving all the letters of recommendation.
