- Scholarship recipients who are university teachers, researchers, or artists can stay for one to ten months.

Benefits of NSP National Scholarship
This Slovakia Scholarship 2023 -2024 will provide the recipient with the following benefits:
- The award is to help overseas scholarship recipients with their living expenses while they are studying, doing research, creating art, or teaching at Slovakian universities and research organizations, including things like food and lodging. The recipient of the award can ask his or her host institution for help with housing and other formalities associated with coming and remaining on Slovak Republic territory or can handle all of the necessities on their own.

Eligibility Criteria for National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic
To be eligible for this Slovakia Scholarship 2023-2024, individuals need to meet all of the following criteria:
- Required Language(s): English
- Eligible Countries: Students from all the world’s countries can apply
- Students enrolled in a university outside of Slovakia.
- Students enrolled in master’s programs at the second level of higher education, or students who have already completed at least 2.5 years of university coursework in the same study programme at the time of the application deadline;
- Candidates who will be on a study stay in the Slovakia Republic during higher education outside Slovakia and who will be accepted by a public, private or state institution in Slovakia for academic mobility1 to study in Slovakia.Eligible applicants for a grant in the framework of the NSP:A).
- Doctoral candidates who are accepted by a public, private, or state institution or research organization in Slovakia are eligible to pursue a doctoral study program2 (such candidates include the Slovak Academy of Sciences) for an academic mobility1 to study/do research/artistic stay in Slovakia.
The National Scholarship Program in Slovakia will not support:
- Overseas students and Doctorate students accepted for full higher education (undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate studies) in Slovakia, or those already studying in Slovakia Republic (full higher education) who’d like to fund their studies in Slovakia by the NSP.
- Foreign candidates who have spent at least a total of twelve months on Slovak Republic territory during the 36 months before the application deadline;
- Overseas candidates who are already receiving scholarships in Slovakia via other public scholarship programs (such as the Erasmus+, International Visegrad Fund, CEEPUS, bilateral agreements, etc.).
How to Apply for Slovakia National Scholarship Program 2023
Candidates must follow the following steps to apply for the National Scholarship Program:
First Step in Applying for NSP National Scholarship:
- Candidates need to fill in their online applications and upload all the needed attachments in the appropriate format to their online application.
- Applicants can submit (fill in) applications and the needed attachments in either Slovak or English language only (So, if you have documents written in other languages ensure to get them officially translated into Slovak or English language – the same institution that issued the respective document can certify the translation).
It is necessary to upload a scan of any documents that are annexed to the application and issued by someone other than the applicant (such as cover letters, study confirmations, admission letters, state examination certificate, as well as diploma supplements).
The applicant for NSP Slovakia Scholarship 2023 has to maintain all originals of the documents they included in their online application in electronic format, archive them, and, upon request, provide the program administrator with the originals (or certified copies of them).
Second Step in Applying for NSP National Scholarship:
- The applicant needs to submit the application by clicking the “SEND” button when it has been completed and all necessary documents have been attached. Additionally, he/she must send the admission/invitation letter in its original form to SAIA, n. o. in Bratislava (SAIA, n. o., Sasinkova 10, 812 20 Bratislava 1).
- You need to deliver this document no later than the third working day after the Slovakia Scholarship 2023 application deadline and no later than 12 p.m. The legal status in Slovakia is taken into account when determining the working days.
