  • In their prior degree, applicants must have received at least a 75%.
  • Students must offer a sample of their writing along with their application: MA thesis for Doctoral applicants and Honours research essay for MA applicants in addition to Any published academic articles relevant to their application.
  • For a Master’s bursary, candidates must be under 35 at the time of application; while for a Doctoral bursary, They must be under 35 at the time of application.
  • In addition to submitting a scholarship application, candidates must also apply to study at Stellenbosch University. It is not necessary for candidates to be registered or to have a supervisor. However, before submitting an application, they should educate themselves about the faculty of arts and social sciences’ availability of qualified supervisors in their specific field of study.
