Students must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible:
- Students must enroll in the university’s PhD degree programs.
- When a candidate is 35 years old, they can still apply to the Foundation for a Ph.D. scholarship if they were 25 when they graduated. The following exceptions to the age limit should be taken into account: night school, raising children, military service, employment experience, as well as other exceptional circumstances.

- No tuition or college costs.
- a table-format CV.
- certification of the undergraduate degree required for Doctoral studies (generally Master’s certificate; for direct doctorates: seminar attendance Ph.D.certificates; please do not send Bachelor certificates). We would appreciate copies; references do not need to be confirmed.
- 2 professional assessments of the candidate’s qualifications and the quality of the Ph.D. project:
- The applicant is free to select the referees.
- The individual who later serves as the 2nd examiner for the PhD thesis cannot compile the 2nd report.

- It is possible to submit several letters of recommendation.

- Applicants need to possess an English proficiency certificate in order to be eligible for the scholarships.
