The Elks National Foundation Scholarships gives the following benefits to the recipient:
- The Elks National Foundation will offer 500 4-year grants to the top-rated applicants in the 2023 competition.
- Most Valuable Student scholarships of $1,000- $12,500 per year are available to students completing a 4-year degree full-time (with a minimum of Twelve semester hours) at an American college or institution. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award and are contingent on the winner enrolling full-time in a recognized institution or university in the United States.
- In late April 2023, the Chicago office of the Elks National Foundation is going to announce the 5 hundred national winners. (Many local districts, Lodges and state Elks associations grant their own awards through this programmes. These awards are not to be confused with the 5 hundred Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarships.
Eligibility Criteria for Elks National Foundation Scholarships
To be eligible for Elks MVS Scholarship, students need to meet all of the following criteria:
- Required Language: English
- Eligible Countries: USA
- Current high school seniors (or equivalent) who are US citizens can apply.
- Candidates do not require to be related to an Elk.
- High school grads are ineligible to apply.
On the day applicants submit their applications, they must be US citizens; so those with permanent legal resident status are ineligible.
