Eligibility Criteria for Deakin University Scholarships
To be eligible for DU Scholarships, you need to fulfill all of the following criteria:
- Required Language: English.
- Eligible Countries: All world countries.
- To qualify for an RTP Fees Offset, RTP Stipend, RTP Allowance or DUPRS a candidate need to be a domestic or overseas student enrolled in an HDR course of study at Deakin
- To qualify for an RTP Fees Offset the applicants must not be receiving an equivalent grant or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees.
- To qualify for an RTP or DUPRS Stipend students must not be receiving income from any other sources to assist that student’s general living costs while undertaking their course of study if that income is larger than 75 % of that student’s RTP or DUPRS Stipend rate. Income that is unrelated to the student’s course of study or that is relevant to the student’s course of study but is not used to fund general living expenses is not to be considered.
- In order to be eligible for an RTP or DUPRS Stipend, applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of 4 years of postsecondary study and earned a first-class honors degree or an equal level of academic excellence.
- For PhD degree:
-Completion of a research project in a relevant discipline including a thesis which is equal to at least 25 percent of a year’s full-time study at Level eight or nine of the Australian Qualifications Framework with the achievement of a grade for the project equal to a Deakin University grade of 70 percent or equivalent.
-Masters Degree (Research) in a relevant discipline. - For Master Degree: -Completion of a research project including a thesis which is equal to at least 25 percent of a year’s full-time study at Level eight or nine of the Australian Qualifications Framework with the achievement of a grade for the project equal to a Deakin grade of 65 percent or equivalent.
